Aleksander Kulisiewicz (1918-1982) was a law student in German-occupied Poland when, in October 1939, he was denounced for anti-fascist writings, arrested by the Gestapo, and sent to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, near Berlin. An amateur singer and songwriter, Kulisiewicz composed 54 songs during nearly six years of imprisonment at Sachsenhausen. Während des NATO-Krieges gegen Jugoslawien, als Bomben das Land zerstörten, dem man Menschenrechte bescheren wollte, unter anderen der Rudolf Scharping, mit dem ich noch in Mutlangen gegen NATO-Raketen demonstriert habe, da las ich noch einmal in Texten von Andreas Greif, der sich Gryphius nannte. Andreas Gryphius schrieb während des 3Ojährigen Krieges, 1636, dieses Gedicht:

La versione tedesca di Franz Josef Degenhardt è una delle poche in una lingua diversa dal portoghese che che sia veramente una riscrittura e un’interpretazione poetica. Datata 1975 (ma quasi con certezza scritta prima dell’uscita dell’album Mit aufrechtem Gang), è preceduta da una breve introduzione recitata che spiega la sua storia e importanza nella rivoluzione dei Garofani. Per questi motivi ne diamo in nota una traduzione in italiano. Si noti che, nell’album Mit aufrechtem Gang è presente anche un’altra canzone, Portugal dedicata alla rivoluzione portoghese, scritta da Degenhardt su musica di Chico Buarque de Hollanda. [RV]
