Sempre per ricordare Vangelis Papathanassiou (e anche Demis Roussos, che è morto il 25 gennaio 2015 a Atene, e che si chiamava in realtà Artemios Ventouris – chissà che non appartenesse al ramo ellenico della casata), e poiché vorrei tornare ancora una volta a quella famosa estate del 1973, ecco gli Aphrodite's Child con una certa loro canzone che, ne sono certo, farà abbastanza sobbalzare tutti noialtri diversamente ragazzi e ragazze in attesa di passare dai pannolini ai pannoloni. La canzone è del 1968.

La versione greca del canto, intitolata Παρτιζάνοι, προχωρείτε (Partizáni prohoríte, “Partigiani, avanzate”) fa parte dei canti resitenziali greci dell'epoca dell'occupazione nazifascista e della guerra civile; copre un'arco di tempo che, grosso modo, va dal 1943 al 1949 e appartiene ai canti dell'EAM-ELAS. Sulla consueta melodia, si tratta però di un canto totalmente autonomo e slegato, non idealmente ma testualmente, dall'originale russo. Risente, casomai, dell'omologo canto di resistenza jugoslavo, anche per vicinanza geografica. E' comunque un canto esclusivo della Resistenza ellenica. Da notare però, forse come flebile legame con le sue origini, l'uso del termine παρτιζάνοι per “partigiani”, che non è comunissimo in greco (si dice, normalmete e storicamente, αντάρτες, che significa piuttosto “Resistenti”). Po šumama i gorama, cui finora era dedicata una (peraltro trascurata) pagina del sito che è stata qui integrata e eliminata, è la versione jugoslava partigiana di По долинам и по взгорьям e, al tempo stesso, forse la più celebre versione del canto russo in assoluto. Questo perché è senz'altro il principale canto partigiano titoista jugoslavo dell'epoca della II guerra mondiale. Lo indico come “jugoslavo” perché le sue versioni riflettono le lievi varianti linguistiche (serbe, croate...) di quel sistema linguistico comune che, fino a trent'anni fa, veniva chiamata “serbocroato”. Texten till den här låten är baserad på rader skrivna av Nâzım Hikmet i hans självbiografiska roman Yaşamak Güzel Şey Be Kardeşim från 1962. Romanen är översatt till engelska av Mutlu Konuk Blasing och publicerad 2013 under titeln Life's Good, Brother.
Under större delen av sitt liv var Hikmet förföljd av den turkiska staten för sin politiska övertygelse. Hans verk var förbjudna i Turkiet fram till 1965. 2017, 59 år efter Hikmets död, publicerades Yaşamak Güzel Şey Be Kardeşim av förlagshuset Yapı Kredi, den nuvarande ägaren av Hikmets upphovsrätt. Den nya upplagan innehåller totalt 25 censurerade textställen. Censuren har till exempel förandrat »jag är kommunist« till »jag är arbetare«. Så tack, herr Erdoğan, för detta och för ditt vänliga uttalande om Finland och Sverige häromdagen.
