"Inżynierowie dusz" - ie " Engineers of souls " - is one of the most important concepts of propaganda of the former USSR.

In 1932, Stalin assigned the writers of this country a key role in the education and formation of the "new man".

They were to become the "engineers" of human souls, operators of the so-called "pierekovka", i.e. the transformation of the "old" man of a previous epoch into the "new" man of the Soviet Union (who, incidentally, was presented as the last, highest stage of development, of the evolution of the human species on earth!)

This is the theme of this ironic song written in 1980...
