SVEDESE [3] / SWEDISH [3]

This Swedish ovanlig översättning (unusual translation) of the Internationale is no new or alternative translation in its main parts. It is definitely ”ovanlig”, nevertheless. The main bulk of the version is nothing but Henrik Menander's traditional Swedish translation. What makes this version really unusual is the ”anti-militarist verse” (the 5th verse of the original version, both in French and Swedish), which is moved to the end as final verse, totally modified and provided with a final refrain completely different from the usual and traditional refrain. As far as I know, this is the only case where a refrain of the Internationale doesn't include the word ”Internationale” in all the versions collected here up to now.
