Et les « Mille » débarquèrent dans la terre des pistaches.
Dans « Adèle et les Pistaches », une mère raconte l'histoire d'un homme, son fils et d'autres hommes qu'aujourd'hui on appellerait des « vaincus de l'Histoire »et dès lors, comme il arrive souvent, en grande part effacés de notre mémoire.
L'unité de l'Italie était et est une mère toujours grosse de haine et de rancœur.

Just browsing the Yiddish songs.
This one also caught my attention (see comment about "Shtil di Nakht") - also full of spelling mistakes in the original.
1) Even the title is wrong.
It says "מלכמה"
It should be "מלחמה"
2) in the 2nd verse, if one transliterates correctly:
Nito mayn kind, - a vaser
hot fartrunken alte miln.
This means:
There isn't any, my child, - a "water" (i.e. flood)
has flooded/swamped/inundated all the Mills.
and so, the Italian would be something like:
Non c’è, bambino mio, - acqua
ha inondato tutti i mulini.
3) in the 3rd verse, the water carried them down (aropgetrogn) - I assume the poet meant carried them away...
unless it's a typo and should be "opgetrogn" which is more logical - "carried them away" (as in "swept them away") - and retains the rhyme with "shlogn".
In either case, the Italian translation for that line is wrong. I'll leave it to... (Continues)

No, ragazzi, per favore, non arriviamo fino all'auto-derisione.. Anche perché se un lavoro, come nel caso nostro -non remunerato- è anche doppio o addirittura triplo, non credo affatto sia la stessa cosa, ma è, secondo il punto di vista più accreditato e comune, proprio roba da fessi (o a ghjri 'i đđà) :-))).. o da “matti” appassionati, secondo una visuale più indulgente.
Ma giacché rendiamo -comunque sia- un servizio, speriamo che gli utenti appassionati come noi ce ne siano almeno un po' grati.
Appassionati ma non pagati, la parola d'ordine dovrebbe forse essere "Lavorare pochissimo, con-laborare tutti". Ma valla a tradurre in pratica, viste la diversità di prestazioni, disponibilità e capacità di ciascuno..!

Ulteriori ricerche mi fanno precisare che si canta sull'aria delle sestine da cantastorie toscano, o aria della Giulia, conosciuta anche come aria del Batacchi.
Un paio di rettifiche: non proviene dalla Lucchesia ma dal Valdarno; non risale al 1849 ma a dopo l'Unità, quindi dopo il 1861.
