Du pas solennel du héron est la septante-quatrième chanson du Cycle du Cahier ligné, constitué d'éléments tirés du Quaderno a Cancelli de Carlo Levi.
Cette fois, Lucien l'âne mon ami à l'âme d'or, je te l'accorde, le titre de la canzone sonne étrangement... mais juste. Toi qui as longé tant de fleuves, de rivières, de lacs, de côtes et depuis si longtemps... toi qui as connu le monde sans la pollution, toi qui as vu Xénophon (était-ce lui ?) attendre le passage des cadavres de ses ennemis à l'embouchure qui plonge dans l'Hellespont, non loin de Troie. Toi, l'âne aux yeux plus perçants que ceux de l'autour, tu as certainement déjà vu le héron déployant ses longues échasses et avançant comme détaché du monde commun au plein milieu d'un étang ou d'un marécage. Neve diventeremo
"Neve diventeremo", canzone scritta in memoria del partigiano istriano Radovan Zuccon deportato a Buchenwald dai nazisti in campo di concentramento. Sopravvissuto anche dopo una lunga e travagliata vicenda sotto la dittatura titina negli anni ’50 si stabilì ad Albiolo, un paese in provincia di Como.
Di questo brano abbiamo realizzato anche il videoclip diretto dal giovane regista Luca Tossani.
Abbiamo girato delle scene a Buchenwald autorizzati dalla Direzione del campo di sterminio dopo aver presentato la documentazione (Croce Rossa, ecc. ecc.) della detenzione di Rado. Altre scene toccanti come il trasporto dei deportati sono state girate usando un vecchio vagone ferroviario della tratta Chiasso-Valmorea-Castellanza, ora chiamata “Della Valmorea”. Scena che si e' potuta realizzare grazie alla grande partecipazione di "comparse volontarie", come le scene girate ad Olgiate Comasco, Albiolo e Cagno
Di questo brano abbiamo realizzato anche il videoclip diretto dal giovane regista Luca Tossani.

Un capolavoro del vecchio "Banco", e proveniente per giunta da quell'album-monstre contro la guerra e per la libertà che è Io sono nato libero. Non a caso. Che cosa ci può essere più contro la guerra, la schiavitù del lavoro e i mille e mille servaggi imposti da una società capitalistica, del dormire? Il sonno come atto di ribellione: Non mi rompete! "Around 1981 I read a book and heard a recording by the Committee to send photographic records of the atomic bombings to children of the world: 子供たちに／原爆の記録を送る会。I was impressed and made this song. A few years later there was a movie with the same name.
It is mostly a warning about the creeping militarism of the establishment right in Japan, who are essentially acting as puppets of the US. So it at once criticizes the US atomic bombing as well as US domination of Japan, plus Japanese militarism before and now.
This is my first attempt to do a big multitrack. Probably overkill. Exciting to do it though. Wanted shamisen and drums, among other instruments"
