Album: "Gaia" (2003)

Lyrics & Music by Curtiss/Westerman
Album: Custer Died for Your Sins
The epic struggle of the Nez Perce Indians to retain their beloved homeland is a saga of dishonor in this nation's history. The Wallowa Band was expelled from its Wallowa Valley of Oregon in 1877, when General Howard and his cavalry pursued them 1,500 miles to their surrender. Captured just 30 miles short of safe refuge at the Canadian Border, Chief "Joseph"'s surrender speech stirs us over a century later:
"My heart is sick and sad. . . . From where the sun now stands, I shall fight no more forever".
“The earth was created by the assistance of the sun, and it should be left as it was… The country was made without lines of demarcation, and it is no man’s business to divide it… I see the whites all over the country gaining wealth, and see their desire to give us lands which are worthless… The earth... Lyrics & Music by Barry Moore (Luka Bloom)
Album: "Treaty Stone" [1978]
Honor: A Benefit for the Honor the Earth Campaign [1996]
Remember the American Indians how they were virtually wiped out of the Americas - their ancestral homes - by the European newcomers! The simple-minded American Indians’ only crime was to honor their guests into their homeland. A short story is sufficient to tell the sad saga of this unfortunate people. A white American of European descent once taunted an American Indian by saying, "O Indian, what do you have to say, how we wiped you out?" The Indian did not reply. The white man taunted him again saying: "You must feel awful, how we took your land, killed your men, raped your women, brought pox, syphilis and gonorrhea to your people, burned your villages, took your cattle and crops." Still, the Indian remained unperturbed. This calmness of the Indian... (Continues)

Chanson italienne – Indiana – Marco Rovelli – 2008
(Continues)

Album :Walela - Unbearable Love

The Song of the Red Man
![The Song of the Red Man](img/art/t596959.jpg)
[1868]
Testo trovato su The Music of Henry Clay Work

[1974]
Album: American Roots Music (disc 4) [2001]

[2000]
Lyrics & Music by MaryK
Album: Socially Acceptable, History Mountain
President Ulysses S. Grant placed general George R. Crook in command of the Arizona Territory after his successful campaign in the Pacific Northwest.. Crook used of Apache scouts (sic) in order to force the Chiricahuas under chief Cochise onto reservations. In the 1870's Crook was chasing Geronimo, when an offer came in to "parley" with him... but Crook and only three men had to agree to go unarmed, over 200 miles of Apache territory..
