"Refuse/Resist" is the opening track, and single of the Brazilian thrash metal band Sepultura's 1992 album Chaos A.D. The lyrics were written by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Max Cavalera; and are about refusing/resisting authority.
The intro to the song is the heartbeat of Max's unborn son Zion. This song is also notable for having a 20 second growl at the end.
This song was featured on 1 of Manga Entertainment's 90's VHS trailers containing a range of anime eg. Akira, Devilman, Genocyber, Mad Bull 34, Vampire Hunter D, Urotsukidoji, Guyver and 3x3 Eyes.

Ambush
Ambush was inspired by the book Fronteiras De Sangue (which means bloody borders). It tells the story of Chico Mendes, a great activist of the rainforests. He died protecting the trees from the burning and chainsaws of the blooksucking multi-nationals. The band views him as a real hero and this song is a tribute to him. (Max Cavalera)

The lyrics speak to how the government and media use fear and propaganda to preserve the status quo. And a companion video complements the song’s powerful message.
According to guitarist Andreas Kisser, “[The song] is a very powerful and complex theme that inspired director Otavio Juliano and Luciana Ferraz to make an amazing visual interpretation of the song. It shows the human greed with no limits, the arrogance, and the ignorance of ourselves. We think we can do it all without knowledge, without respect.”
