Whiskey In The Jar
Anonymous
È una delle canzoni tradizionali irlandesi più eseguite ed è stata incisa da artisti come i The Dubliners, The Pogues, Peter, Paul and Mary, The Highwaymen, Roger Whittaker, the Clancy Brothers e Tommy Makem, The Irish Rovers, Poxy Boggards, The Limeliters, King Creosote, The Shatilla Shakers e... The Ballad of the Springhill Mine Disaster
![The Ballad of the Springhill Mine Disaster](img/art/t755522.jpg)
Lyrics & Music by Peggy Seeger
Peggy Seeger composed "The Ballad of Springhill" (with assistance from Ewan MacColl) based on the 1958 Springhill Mine Disaster
. It was originally performed by MacColl and Seeger as an a cappella duet.
It was subsequently sung by popular folk revival group Peter, Paul, & Mary.
Irish rock stars U2 drew international attention to the memory of the Springhill mining disaster when they included "The Ballad of Springhill" in the playlist for their Joshua Tree Tour in 1987. U2 performed the song at fifteen concerts, although Bono did misrepresent the year in the song by saying "88" and not "58" during a few live performances. In an interview after the 1987 performance on a 25th anniversary television tribute to the Irish band The Dubliners, Bono stated that the first recording of "The Ballad of Springhill" he heard was that sung by Irish folk singer... Can We Go Higher ?
![Can We Go Higher ?](img/art/t1832890.jpg)
Nenad Bach wrote this song when war in Croatia broke out.
Its meaning is to get above the eavil and hatred in the world. In addition, he has performed all over the world with a wide range of artists, including Luciano Pavarotti, Bono & The Edge (U2), Brian Eno, Indigo Girls, Richie Havens, Garth Hudson & Grateful Dead, Martin Sheen, Michael York, John Malkovich, Ellen Burstyn, and many more. He performed at Woodstock '94, and in 1998 he made a compilation album with Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen and Allen Ginsberg.

Walking into Rocky Sullivan's, you might expect to find an Irish pub offering pints of Guinness and, if you're even slightly familiar with its reputation, a good political debate. But on Friday nights, the joint is jumping to the only Celtic-influenced hip-hop band on either side of the Atlantic. Seanchai (pronounced shan-a-kee) and the Unity Squad take the stage each week with their mix of hip-hop, rock,... (Continues)

Invisible Sun
![Invisible Sun](img/upl/_dL_5a7f6e1d_33add428.jpg)
"Invisible Sun" è del 1981
album "Ghost in the machine"

Miss Sarajevo
![Miss Sarajevo](img/upl/IMG_3237.jpg)
[1995]
Da / From "Miss Sarajevo"
