Ho scritto una canzone perché è quello che so fare.
È un inno alla lotta.
E in questa lotta voglio fare la mia parte e infondere energia. In questo momento lo sento necessario. Oltre a questo volevo portare a galla nel modo più forte possibile il punto di non ritorno in cui questo genocidio sta portando la ragione. Se il diritto internazionale viene calpestato e un intero popolo massacrato senza che nessuno prenda iniziative serie contro il colpevole, cosa succede? Succede che non c’è più un limite. E si può dire ciò che si vuole. Tanto ormai vale tutto.

It's a hymn to struggle.
And in this struggle, I want to do my part and infuse energy. I feel it's necessary right now. In addition to this, I want to point out as strong as possible that we finally reached the point of no return to which this genocide is bringing reason. I have a couple comments in regard to the post by "L.E." on 2021/4/8:
1. This page states that Mickey Newbury's song San Francisco Mabel Joy is an "anti-war" song. If that is true, then I believe the reason the Georgia boy is sent to federal prison is that he was a draft dodger, although I don't think he did it intentionally. Rather, I get the impression that he was a little bit "dumb" and just didn't know any better - maybe kind of like the character Forrest Gump. And I suppose the prostitute Mabel Joy was a little bit the same. Other than that possibility, I don't see anything else in the content of this song's lyrics that would make it anti-war.
2. I too wonder how the Georgia boy was shot before the end of the song, but it was probably not from escaping prison. I don't think he would have been able to make it alive all the way from prison in Grayrock, Arkansas to Los Angeles with a bullet in his side, and especially not by hopping freight trains.

Flotilla di pace
Vista l'imminente entrata nelle acque in cui Israele ha in passato bloccato le precedenti missioni di aiuto, mi affretto a postare questa "urgente" canzone di sostegno alla Flotilla.
l'ho registrata col cellulare all'alba di oggi ma appena incontrerò le belle voci di Denisse e Maddalena vi manderò la versione cantata da loro con un video ed un sonoro migliore.

Ieri ho visto in internet una bella foto dei delfini che saltavano a fianco alle barche della Global Sumud Flotilla. Non ho potuto esonerarmi dal riflettere sulla bellezza che riescono a trasmettere questi intelligentissimi animali. In un secondo momento mi sono passate per la mente anche le distorsioni della razza umana. E' stata capace di usarli come collaboratori in missioni di guerra come trasportatori di mine, esploratori subacquei ed altro ancora.

Anche per questa ragione rappresenta un caso particolarmente interessante il tentativo da parte nel Nci – documentato nel carteggio disponibile in appendice a questo saggio – di avviare una collaborazione con Gianni Morandi per fargli cantare una o più canzoni di Della Mea. La prima lettera, firmata da Michele Straniero, risale al periodo di preparazione del secondo Folk Festival e viene spedita tramite l’intercessione di Angelo Ephrikian (all’epoca suocero di Morandi) e Giovanni Pirelli. Essa dimostra come vi fosse, intorno al 1966 (ovvero dopo l’uscita di Leydi dal gruppo), la volontà di allargare l’attività del Nci in una direzione più “nazionalpopolare”, anche coinvolgendo musicisti pubblicamente iscritti tra le fila del “nemico”.

Requisirono alcuni libri cosiddetti "sovversivi" e arrestarono tal Iacometti Mario di Lorenzo per mancata denuncia di una baionetta militare e un altro perché in contatto con un comitato anarchico di Milano pro-vittime politiche. Grand Coulee Dam
20 Gennaio 1968, alla Carnegie Hall di New York si tiene il primo dei 2 concerti tributo a Woody Guthrie. [Il secondo si terra’ il 12 Settembre 1970 alla Hollywood Bowl di Los Angeles]
Il concerto di New York ebbe un'eco ed un successo straordinario.
Woody era appena scomparso il 3 Ottobre del 1967 ed il figlio Arlo porto’ sul palco un cast di musicisti di grande livello.
Oltre a Bob Dylan accompagnato da The Band si esibirono : Richie Havens,Judy Collins,Pete Seeger,Tom Paxton,Odetta e Jack Elliott.
Per il Menestrello di Duluth si trattava della sua prima performance live ufficiale dopo il presunto e discusso incidente in moto del 1966.
La interpretazione di Dylan di “ Grand Coulee Dam” in questa occasione presenta minime differenze testuali, non significative, rispetto alla originale di Guthrie ma ci offre una traccia live unica,vivace,ritmica ed intensa, grazie anche al supporto di Robbie Robertson & co.

"Bombe" è nata di getto nei primi giorni dell’invasione russa dell’Ucraina, quando Andrea Pasciuti (voce dei NuovoNormale) ha tradotto in musica lo smarrimento di un’Europa improvvisamente vulnerabile.
Il brano non si limita a evocare la paura della guerra, ma la porta dentro le stanze quotidiane: lo zaino lasciato alla porta “sperando non servirà mai”, il tepore fragile delle stufe elettriche, la neve che ovatta un silenzio irreale.
Completata insieme al chitarrista Andrea Imberciadori, la canzone si è trasformata in un inno intimo e inquieto a quella sospensione tra normalità e minaccia. Born-Again Cretin
Credo il titolo sia un gioco di parole tra "born again Christian" (rinato al Cristianesimo) e "rinato cretino". I rinati al Cristianesimo sono quelle persone che hanno abbandonato il Cristianesimo dopo i sacramenti e poi hanno avuto un risveglio in tarda età: moltissimi cantanti famosi americani sono born again Christians. Credo che il gioco di parole del titolo non sia relazionato al testo più di tanto. Le interpretazioni del testo mi sembrano giuste, forse è una canzone contro la vanità di certe star del suo tempo.
