"Interslavic (Medžuslovjansky / Меджусловјанскы) is a pan-Slavic auxiliary language. Its purpose is to facilitate communication between speakers of various Slavic languages, as well as to allow people who do not speak a Slavic language to communicate with Slavic speakers by being mutually intelligible with most, if not all, Slavic languages. For Slavs and non-Slavs, it can fulfill an educational role as well. This version is in praise for the Makhnovshchina and partisan fighters in Ukraine."

Another rare Warszawianka we've encountered, yes, we've finally identified the existence of Buryat lyrics.
Buryat is a Mongolian language spoken in the Republic of Buryat and other countries. Although it is often considered an independent language, some recognize it as one of the Mongolian dialects, along with the Khalkha dialect (Standard Mongolian) spoken in Mongolia, the Chakhar dialect spoken in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the Oirat dialect (Oirat language) spoken in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The lyrics appeared in Vol.299 of the Buryat proletarian newspaper 'Буряад-Монголой үнэн' (Buryat version of "Правда").
Apart from the Kalmyk version of "Өндр улан" (a derivative song Warszawianka), the discovery of this Buryat canonical lyrics is probably the first in the world... (continuer)

Credo che il verso "Where the neons turn to wood" sia da intendere più come: "dove il neon lascia il posto al legno", mostrandoci quel luogo al termine della highway, dove la città si perde nelle campagne.
La canzone era originariamente contenuta in un (criptico, viscerale e intrigante) disco precedente (2007) dallo stesso titolo, in una versione decisamente migliore che comprendeva il solo Gragnaniello a chitarra acustica e voce, accompagnato dall'armonica di Bruno Fiengo. E' un mistero per me il motivo per cui stata re-incisa a distanza di solo otto anni, due dischi dopo!?
Un omaggio alla bella canzone di Balti oggi cantata da molti migranti che partono dalla Tunisia.
Lo stesso autore anni fa aveva inciso Yammi, la storia di una lettera scritta ad una madre da parte del figlio migrante.
In questo brano si simula una telefonata che racconta il dramma della lontananza.
Per completezza metto il testo tradotto dall'arabo al francese di cui ho rifatto le rime in italiano per trovare la metrica cercando di mantenere il senso del racconto.
Ho cantato sulla base di una cover per violino di Moez Bouali
vi ho mandato 2 giorni fa il video del brano originale in arabo di Balti.
Il tema dei migranti mi coinvolge molto e quindi ho avuto voglia di fare una cover, spero di contribuire così a far conoscere le storie dietro alle migrazioni.
