The Fight for the Larzac refers to a non-violent civil disobedience action by farmers resisting the extension of an existing military base on the Larzac plateau in South Western France. The action lasted from 1971 to 1981, and ended in victory for the resistance movement when the newly elected President François Mitterrand formally abandoned the project.
The base, used for training French soldiers, was originally established in 1902 on 3,000 hectares (7,400 acres; 12 sq mi) of uncultivated heathland. Michel Debré, Minister of Defence in the Georges Pompidou administration, announced that the base would be extended to 13,700 hectares (34,000 acres; 53 sq mi) and that the necessary land would be expropriated in the public interest.
An initial informal resistance movement was formed by 103 landowners whose land was subject to expropriation. In 1973 their cause was taken... (continuer)

Io sono abbastanza sicuro che il brano si riferisca alle contestazioni subite da De Gregori. Mi sembra di averlo letto già allora, all'uscita del disco e che l'episodio sia riportato e descritto nel docufilm "Finestre Rotte", se ricordo bene narrato da suo fratello Luigi Grechi. Comunque, trattandosi di De Gregori io non starei troppo all'analisi grammaticale, logica e del periodo. C'è, forse quella contestazione, c'è, forse il clima di quegli anni, c'è, probabilmente molto altro, molte altre guerre e battaglie nel tramonto italiano.

Mi si tira in causa. Posso perdere l'occasione di fare una lezione privata al Maestro Richard Gwenndour? Guardate che non è cosa da tutti, nè da tutti i giorni!!! Scherzi a parte, alle imposizioni dell'Etica Superiore si obbedisce e basta! Soprattutto io, che ne ricevo quotidianamente da quando ero bambino (per mia fortuna!).
Poi, quando si parla di Manu Lannhuel mi si spalancano le pupille, ogni sua canzone offre un capolavoro perfetto di emozione, dette dalla sua voce le parole porgono uno di quei doni che non hanno prezzo e le sue visioni mi hanno sempre toccato l'anima a partire da questo disco fino all'ultimo avventuroso e spettrale "Un Rien De Temps", che appunto all'inizio sembra ricongiungersi. Il perchè questo disco sia rimasto un "mai ristampato" è un mistero, le richieste non sono mai mancate in Francia e non solo in Bretagna, soprattutto a causa della sua proposta musicale "progressive... One of the many sad stories about conscientious objectors in Finland is that of Arndt Pekurinen, a peace activist and member of the Finnish Peace Union and the Antimilitary League. Having refused mandatory conscription in 1926 because of his pacifist conviction, he was imprisoned from 1929 to 1931 and again in 1939 when the Finnish Winter War broke out. During the Continuation War in autumn 1941 he was taken to the front with the order to make sure he did wear a uniform and bear and use a weapon. Having refused to do so, he was executed on the spot without trial. Yet another proof of the senselessness of war and disregard of basic human rights!
