«Sui fatti di Bronte dell'estate 1860, sulla verità dei fatti, gravò la testimonianza della letteratura garibaldina e il complice silenzio di una storiografia che s'avvolgeva nel mito di Garibaldi, dei Mille, del popolo siciliano liberato: finché uno studioso di Bronte, il professor Benedetto Radice, non pubblicò nell'Archivio Storico per la Sicilia Orientale (anno VII, fascicolo I, 1910) una monografia intitolata Nino Bixio a Bronte; e già, a dar ragione delle cause remote della rivolta, aveva pubblicato (1906, Archivio Storico Siciliano) il saggio Bronte nella rivoluzione del 1820. Ho appena trovato un altro errore ortografico (spero l'ultimo :-) ) nella mia traduzione del Disertore in Romancio dell'Alta Engadina.
Nel pezzo "Eau giaro dappertuot/vivand scu ün murdieu/e dormaro sün via,/pero eau giaro a tuots", avrei dovuto scrivere "pero eau dscharo a tuots" anziché "pero eau giaro a tuots". Mi faresti la cortesia di correggerlo, per piacere?

เป็นเพลงปลุกใจที่ใช้ในการต่อสู้ของชนชั้นกรรมาชีพ มีที่มาจากบทกวีต้นฉบับภาษาฝรั่งเศสของเออแฌน ปอตติเยร์ ในปี ค.ศ. 1871 แต่งทำนองโดยปีแยร์ เดอเฌย์แตร์ ในปี ค.ศ. 1888 ใช้ในการต่อสู้ของฝ่ายซ้าย ต่อฝ่ายขวาในฝรั่งเศส และแพร่หลายไปทั่วโลก ถูกแปลเป็นภาษาต่างๆหลายภาษา และถูกใช้เป็นเพลงชาติของสหภาพโซเวียต

¿Canción protesta, decía usted...? Perdone; pero entérese antes de lo que hay sobre este asunto de la canción protesta.
Esas ansias de expresarse con palabras musicalmente articuladas para ganar corazones, cuando la palabra hablada ha perdido todo sentido por el uso falso que de ella han hecho las fuerzas y los intereses retrógrados con fines demagógicos, crearon la necesidad de la nueva forma de expresión: ponerle música al grito de protesta. Por eso nació la canción protesta. Y tal vez también... cómo una justa respuesta a los "jingles" comerciales de las radios y las televisiones que, sin pudor, ni escrúpulo ni vergüenza, dispusieron de la música y la poesía para cantar, ya no al amor, a las flores, a los cielos, sino también a las pastas y menjurgues, detergentes y cervezas, logrando con ello que los jóvenes se sintieran desnudos de sueños y de ilusiones.

La SOA, or "School Of the Americas", con sede a Fort Benning (Georgia) è la scuola dove vengono addestrate, negli Stati Uniti, le forze governative (di polizia, militari ecc.) dei vari paesi latinoamericani. E' detta anche la "Scuola dei torturatori". Sono stati diplomati SOA, ad esempio, il famoso torturatore cap. Astiz in forza alla giunta militare argentina e vari altri bei personaggini del genere. The song was initially recorded and released by a young soul vocalist by the name of Roberta Flack: her version appeared as the opening track on her debut recording, First Take (1969).
A second version of the song was recorded later that year by pianist Les McCann and saxophonist Eddie Harris for their album, Swiss Movement, recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival. The McCann and Harris version became an international hit, selling over a million copies. At a time when black folks, American youth, and anti-war protesters were literally taking it to the streets, "Compared to What" was a scathing critique of social realities in the United States, taking aim at the clergy, "poor dumb rednecks," "tired old ladies," and the Vietnam War. McDaniels' lyrics were clear: even to raise questions about the war in Vietnam was considered an act of treason. McDaniels' observation, of course, resonates... (continuer)
