Teach Your Children

Teach Your Children
[1970]
Words and music by Graham Nash

A true classic from the Seventies we culpably forgot until now...
A song that intended to teach mutual understanding between those, who had experienced the world war II hell (the father's hell) and those, who were just experiencing the Vietnam war hell (the children's hell). But, unfortunatedly enough and despite... (continuer)

Not My President, Not My War

Chant by PDX anti-war marchers (20-Mar-2004)
Words/music by The Compassionate Conservatives
Copyright © 2004 The Compassionate Conservatives

Based upon a chant by anti-war marchers, this song quickly took on a life of its own. The words are written from the perspective of an American soldier who witnessed the Fallujah incident, sees the charred bodies, and wonders whether he will soon be paying a visit to Dover Air Force Base. All he wants to do is go home... can you blame him?

We suggest that you read Iraqi insider perspectives on the Fallujah retaliation, including firing upon ambulances. If you agree with us that war is a senseless waste of human life, here is a great way to express your opinion. We also suggest that you contact your Congressional rep to oppose the upcoming draft.-Compassionate Conservatives.

Sarà come stare a letto mentre fuori è freddo e piove

Midnight Confessions (of Emperor George W. Bush)

Music based upon "Midnight Confessions" (words and music by Lou Josie © 1968)
Lyrics by The Compassionate Conservatives
Original release Mar-2003

Dubya dreams of dictatorship, only to awaken and find that it is true. A non-stop litany of Bush gaffes, featuring the ever-popular world-dividing "you're with us or with the terrorists". Bush claims to receive orders from God in his black-and-white world. Pakistan, our staunch 'Non-NATO Ally' in the War On Terror™, happens to be a long-standing sponsor of terrorism. And do we dare to mention Saudi Arabia, or the fact that the bin Laden and Bush families are long-time business associates? -Compassionate Conservatives.

In the Garden of Eden

Bush's January 2003 State of the Union address repeated the various lies for invading Iraq. However, some of his comments (e.g., "he has shown utter contempt for the UN and the opinion of the world") were remarkably accurate when applied to himself. Commentators include Professor Francis Boyle, who offers reasons why Bush should be impeached. Let's not forget that Bill Clinton was impeached for lying about sex, a private act between two consenting adults.

Consequently, Bush should be not only impeached, but investigated as a war criminal for lying our country into an unnecessary conflict which has resulted in hundreds of US troops killed and thousands wounded, along with 10,000... (continuer)

Frat Boy

Music based upon "Batman Theme" (© 1965 Neil Hefti)
Lyrics by The Compassionate Conservatives

Original release Feb-2004
Last remixed 24-Mar-2004

On 19-Mar-2003, announced the start of the unsanctioned Iraq invasion. Six weeks later, on 1-May-2003, King George (who had successfully ducked his duty during Vietnam) had the gall to play fighter pilot on the USS Lincoln. With a "Mission Accomplished" banner as a backdrop, Commander Dubya declared an end to the Iraq war.

Months later, as the death toll mounted, the White House claimed that he had actually declared an end to "major combat operations". The White House also made a feeble attempt to distance itself from the "Mission Accomplished" banner.

But the biggest irony of all is that, like most members of the Bush/Cheney administration, our "Commander-in-Chief" was AWOL during the Vietnam war. During his February 2004 interview with Tim... (continuer)

Original release Apr-2004

Despite the mellow music, this might be our harshest indictment thus far of our unelected puppet president.

The first two verses focus upon the notion that Bush really didn't care and allowed 9/11 to occur.

Next, we discuss the fact that Bush took political advantage, by launching an illegal war that looks and feels like Vietnam. Slimey? Of course! But the truth is hidden in plain sight. We also chastise the mainstream media for their complicity, particularly CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC.

"Last but far from least, we lambast Bush for being a so-called "man of God", blindly pushing forward with his Divinely-sanctioned holy war, while steadfastly refusing to apologize for anything." - Compassionate Conservatives.

Chalabi

[2004]
Testo dei Compassionate Conservatives
Lyrics by the Compassionate Conservatives

Sull'aria di "Volare" di Domenico Modugno [Modugno/Migliacci, 1958]
To the tune of "Volare" by Domenico Modugno
[Modugno/Migliacci, 1958]

"Convicted embezzler and Iraqi defector Ahmed Chalabi supplied the neoconservative cabal with fanciful tales of WMD, nuclear programs, and other reasons why Saddam Hussein posed an "imminent threat" to the USA. Grateful for the opportunity to "take out Saddam", our fearless leaders played along with the story line which Chalabi fed them. Now that he has returned home, he has dismissed his yarns, proclaimed himself and his cronies to be "heroes in error", and appointed his nephew to try Saddam.
His decision-making is as dubious as his "intelligence", including the disastrous choice to move against Muqtada al-Sadr. Worst of all, Chalabi and his Iraqi National Congress... (continuer)

Riportiamo l'introduzione:

"Pensiamo di far cosa gradita all’autore dell’articolo... (continuer)
