Monte Pasubio
@Nipote di un reduce Alpino: Il canto "Monte Pasubio" è un canto d'autore, parole di Carlo Gemignani e musica di Bepi de Marzi, con questo non voglio dire che non sia un canto ispirato al periodo della ritirata dal Pasubio. E anzi è uno dei pochissimi canti che si sono ispirati alle vicende del Pasubio.
Ma quello che tendo a sottolineare è che essendo d'autore, e l'autore nato nel 1935, non può essere considerato un Canto della Prima Guerra Mondiale (e neppure della seconda)... ovvero nato tra i soldati (alpini) in quel periodo.
Senza dubbio un gran bel canto "ispirato" alla Grande Guerra, inciso nel 1968 da "I Crodaioli" di De Marzi.
Non mi risulta quindi non potesse essere cantata in presenza di ufficiali, tanto che il Coro della Brigata Alpina Julia lo ha sempre avuto in repertorio fin dal 1979...

Il testo della canzone me lo ha dato Alessandra Kersevan: negli anni '70 lo cantava con il gruppo "Il canzoniere di Aiello".
Dall'accenno all'ecologia sembrerebbe una canzone anni '60-'70, ma non escludo sia un testo più antico al quale è stato storpiato un verso. Comunque l'accenno al vino buono come risultato del massacro è diffuso: nel Goriziano gira la storia che le migliori annate del Collio furono quelle immediatamente successive alla prima guerra mondiale. Anche la mia prof di storia e filosofia delle superiori (Anita Burian) raccontava che i migliori Champagne furono quelli dopo la grande guerra...

"Oh Doberdò, tomba di ragazzi sloveni!" così recita questa canzone slovena risalente alla Grande Guerra. Doberdob è proprio il paese di Doberdò del lago (oggi in provincia di Gorizia) teatro tra il 1915 e il 1916 di dure e cruente battaglie e citato anche in Fuoco e mitragliatrici.
Questa canzone proviene dalle file dell'esercito austro-ungarico, dove trovarono la morte moltissimi sloveni.
Inseriamo questa canzone grazie alla preziosa segnalazione di Piero Purini - storico e musicista - che ha recentemente presentato lo spettacolo Rifiuto la guerra, che ripercorre l'opposizione alla prima guerra mondiale attraverso una scelta di brani italiani, sloveni, ungheresi, tedeschi, francesi, inglesi ed americani.

Ho 65 anni. Ho cominciato ad ascoltare questa "Preghiera di un popolo" (e che da questa terra friulana nasce)quando avevo 6-7 anni. La cantavano gli avventori dell'osteria dei miei,nelle sere d'inverno intorno alla stufa. Contadini , operai,con qualche "Ragazzo del '99" : gente seria e dura; ma, finito il canto, un lungo silenzio continuava a "cantare" ... nel Cuore e negli Occhi.
Ed io, ancora oggi ogni volta che l'ascolto, sento in gola quel famoso "grop".
Provo anch'io una "traduzione" delle ultime due strofe.
Prendi su, prendi una stellina:
è il ricordo del nostro amore.
Tu gli darai un piccolo bacio
e poi nascondila nel seno.
Quando a casa Tu sei sola

Voici, Lucien l'âne mon ami, une chanson qui donne à réfléchir à certains aspects de la mémoire des guerres. Je te précise tout de suite que je n'ai aucune envie de célébrer les chants guerriers, les hymnes à la nation combattante et autres fariboles, juste bonne pour les chœurs et les fanfares militaires et leurs aficionados nationalistes et guerriers. Je n'en ai pas plus pour les chants patriotards et les litanies aux glorieux vainqueurs – une fois dans un sens, une fois dans l'autre.
C'est donc une chanson qui raconte une autre histoire, une chanson de guerre mais qui ne sacrifie pas au Dieu de la Guerre : Arès ou Mars. Mais dis-moi ce qu'elle a de particulier...

A great song composed by Finlay Morrison about the men who were promised land in “A Land Fit for Heroes” if they went to fight in WW1. Those who returned got nothing, and so this group of men gathered together and raided the land they had been promised. I was fortunate to learn this song from the son of one of the Raiders, Alick MacAulay, in his house on the croft his father secured after disagreements with the landlord and a jail sentence. Eamon doubles up here on bouzouki and fiddle.

Il cosiddetto Monte Nero nel comune sloveno di Kobarid, cioè la famosa Caporetto scenario della famosa disfatta delle truppe italiane durante la Grande Guerra (1917), in realtà di nero non ha nulla. Il nome italiano deriva da un errore di traduzione: per gli sloveni è il Krn, ovvero il Tozzo, il Tarchiato. Il nome italiano è dovuto alla sbagliata interpretazione della parola, confusa con Črn, che in sloveno significa appunto nero.
E questo particolare la dice lunga sulla storia delle "pietre che parlano italiano", sparse tra l'Istria e le Alpi Giulie. Parleranno anche italiano, ma tradotto male!

Il bleuet (fiordaliso) è in Francia il fiore della memoria per i reduci di guerra come il papavero nei paesi anglosassoni. La parola comunque indicava comunemente i soldati francesi nella Prima Guerra Mondiale per via del colore delle divise.
Chez Poulenc comme chez Apollinaire, la verve peut tojours le céder brusquement à la plus profonde émotion. Bleuet, le titre de la mélodie suivante, est un tendre diminutif de «bleu», terme argotique désignant un jeune soldat. Ce soldat va mourir; à cinq heures, il faut quitter les tranchées pour affronter le feu ennemi. Mais il n’y a ni héroïsme ni patriotisme exacerbés dans cette mélodie. Nella raccolta intitolata “Brennende Erde. Verse eines Kämpfers” pubblicata a Monaco nel 1920.
Questa poesia è già di per se stessa una canzone, come dal titolo.
In ogni caso è stata messa in musica da diversi artisti, come Gerhard Stäbler (in “Für Später: Jetzt” del 1984), dai gruppi punk Blockade (nel loro disco omonimo del 1989) e Kaltfront (nel loro “Zieh Dich Warm An” del 2006), dai Der Singende Tresen (nel loro “Mühsamblues” del 2014) e da Claus Boysen e Rainer Abraham (nel loro “Tucholsky Und Genossen”, data imprecisata)…

grazie, un contributo molto interessante. segnalo però che la poesia non è cantabile, per questioni di metrica, su nessuno dei canti indicati. A parte il prologo e la chiusura, che appartengono ad altri canti, il canto vero e proprio si presterebbe piuttosto ad essere cantato sull'aria dell'inno di mameli, cosa che potrebbe avere un senso in chiave sarcastica...

Tra il 1959 ed il 1961 questa poesia di Tucholsky, come molte altre sue, fu messa in musica da Hanns Eisler. L’interpretazione - ad opera del solito Ernst Busch - si trova nel disco “Rosen Auf Den Weg Gestreut - Ernst Busch Singt Kurt Tucholsky” pubblicato nel 1981.
Del 1984 la versione offerta da Leon Boden e Bernd Klinzmann nel loro “Tucholsky in Rock”
Più recentemente la poesia è stata ripresa da Christoph Holzhöfer, “sinistro” e prolifico cantautore tedesco originario di Bestwig, Renania-Vestfalia.

Un’altro terribile presagio della Grande Guerra in cui sarebbe sprofondata per sempre la sua vita. Georg Trakl scrisse questi versi nell’agosto 1914, pochi giorni prima di partire da Innsbruck con un trasporto militare diretto al fronte in Galizia e Bucovina.
Lì Georg Trakl, assegnato ad un reparto sanitario, si trovò a dover assistere, da solo e senza mezzi, decine di soldati feriti, straziati, agonizzanti. Versi di Georg Trakl, pubblicati sulla rivista “Der Brenner”, diretta dall’amico Ludwig von Ficker, all’inizio del 1915.
Poi nella raccolta “Die Dichtungen” pubblicata nel 1919.
Musica di Jan Adriaan Stuten (1890-1948), musicista e direttore d’orchestra neerlandese, nella sua composizione “In Memoriam” (1940) dedicata al poeta Georg Trakl.
Un’altro terribile presagio della Grande Guerra in cui sarebbe sprofondata per sempre la sua vita. Georg Trakl scrisse questi versi nell’agosto 1914, pochi giorni prima di partire da Innsbruck con un trasporto militare diretto al fronte in Galizia e Bucovina.
Lì Georg Trakl, assegnato ad un reparto sanitario, si trovò a dover assistere, da solo e senza mezzi, decine di soldati feriti, straziati, agonizzanti. Il senso di disperazione ed impotenza lo indusse a tentare il suicidio, ma gli fu impedito dai commilitoni. Trasferito presso l’ospedale... (continuer)
