Last time that I saw you, You were going to the park
At least that's what I thought you said it might have been Iraq
I saw you live on CNN in front of a red bus
I wonder what your doing there causing all this fuss?
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
They said you are a "Human Shield" they said that you might die
But you're going to die when you get home! And boy that is no lie!
I can't believe you like Saddam he really is a jerk
Just like those bloody protesters I wish they'd find some work
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
Now George Bush he's a brilliant man and Howard he's so brave
When they come on the TV I believe all that they say;
"That Saddam he is a evil man he has those poison bombs
We have to get him very soon before he proves us wrong"
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
Now Bagdad is on fire It's all that "Shock and Awe"
We've killed a few civilians but we've killed a few before
We came to liberate them all and set the people free!
But the people are not rising up how ungrateful can they be?
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
Now "freedom is untidy" that's what Donald Rumsford said
But they looted the museum; and now their culture's dead
But I don't know what they need with those ancient antiquities
K-Mart and McDonald's all the culture that they need
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
In Iraaaaaaaaaaaaaq
Now the war it is now over and Saddam he is no more
We've made the world a safer place with this righteous war
But you better stay just where you are you better not come back
'Cause when we bomb Korea/Syria you'll be safer in Iraq

Frank writes
"The song was written "put together" during a late night rehearsal for the "Usual Suspects" (which is our trio) on the 26th Of February 2003, and the final words were written by myself on the 28th. The "Rumsfeld verse" followed a week or two later.
The reaction we get varies from quiet laughter to wild applause depending on the audience.. but they always sing along with the chorus, "only one word only two notes, it ain't hard".
Note for guitarists: I use BAGHDAD tuning."
