Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath's first protest song is this Geezer Butler composition from the first album, Black Sabbath, that condemns war, poverty and the indifference displayed by the politicians who orchestrate the wars.
The world today is such a wicked place,
Fighting going on between the human race;
People got to work just to earn their bread,
While people just across the sea are abandoned dead;

A politicians’ job they say is very high,
For he has to choose whose gotta go and die;
They could put a man on the moon quite easy,
While people here on Earth are dying of all diseases;

A woman goes to work every day after day,
She just goes to work just to earn her pay;
Child sitting crying by a life that’s harder,
He doesn’t even know who is his father.

MONDO CRUDELE

le lotte proseguono fra gli esseri umani;
mentre dall'altra parte del mare la gente è abbandonata alla morte;

perché deve decidere chi mandare a morire;
mentre qui sulla terra si continua a morire di ogni malattia;

ci va per guadagnarsi la sua paga;
