Hello, USA: We're Screwed

Douglas Stambler (D. Glas)
Language: English

I'll come right out and say it. I don't believe that we're going to have an election this November 2008 in the United States. I have this feeling that the current administration will simply NOT give up power, and that will be that.
(D. Glas)
First it was the mad cow, now it is the bird flu.
What's coming next? Will the Congress get to us, too?
Everywhere's a protest, and I don't have a cause.
Hello, USA: We're Screwed.

Let's hear it for Bush; let's hear it for the Democrats.
Thank God for Homeland in-Security.
I dreamed the American dream, and they turned it into a nightmare.
Hello, USA: We're Screwed.

Well, you felt all patriotic and you joined the National Guard.
And now you get your discount with your military card.
But you're still paying 4 bucks to fill it up with gas.
Hello, USA: We're Screwed.

My grandma lost her Medicare and my nephew is on meth.
They say that if we speak our minds they'll put us all to death.
But I say what's to lose since we're all dead anyway.
Hello, USA: We're Screwed.

Let's hear it for Bush; let's hear it for the Democrats.
Thank God for Homeland in-Security.
I dreamed the American dream, and they turned it into a nightmare.
Hello, USA: We're Screwed.

You woke up speaking Spanish, because you felt illegal.
And you went into the labor pool to see what it was like.
And your neighbor bought you for a day to clean up in the sewer.
Hello, USA: We're Screwed.

It used to be that Toby Keith was one, boot-stompin' redneck.
But I prefer the Dixie Chicks to bombing one more "raghead."
I wouldn't burn the flag, but I'm feeling charred and singed.
Hello, USA: We're Screwed.

Let's hear it for Bush; let's hear it for the Democrats.
Thank God for Homeland in-Security.
I dreamed the American dream, and they turned it into a nightmare.
Hello, USA: We're Screwed.
