La scorsa settimana Neil Young in concerto a Chicago insieme alla sua nuova band, i Chrome Hearts, ha spiazzato tutti eseguendo dal vivo per la prima volta una nuova canzone scritta contro il presidente degli Stati Uniti Donald Trump, di cui il rocker canadese è da sempre un fervente oppositore. La canzone si intitola "Big crime" e ora, a distanza di una settimana dallo show, Young l'ha pubblicata sulle piattaforme in versione integrale (il cantautore aveva già condiviso sul suo sito web "Neil Young Archives" l’audio della performance).
Il brano dura poco meno di tre minuti: 2 minuti e 56 in tutto. Ma intrensissimi. Nel testo, Young rivisita lo slogan di Trump, "Make America Great Again": "No more great again", canta invece il rocker, sottolineando come "alla Casa Bianca è in corso un crimine". Poi il cantautore invita il popolo americano a ribellarsi per cacciare via dalla Casa Bianca "i fascisti", perché "non abbiamo bisogno di regole dei fascisti, di scuole dei fascisti e di soldati che marciano per le strade".
