paddyminceir - Youtube
The tears of a nation can be heard on the breeze,
people are praying there down on their knees.
It`s all they can do his life not in their hands,
they can just cry and pray for young Bobby Sands.

He came a great distance for to tell them why,
he had a reason for living and a reason to die.
And they said that they would`nt meet his demands,
and then turned their backs on young Bobby Sands.

All the long hungry days, and the dark weary nights,
he spent in a blanket for human rights.
Politicians and leaders of other great lands,
would not lift a finger for to help Bobby Sands.

Oh but now it is over and Ireland awaits,
as they carried his coffin through the maze gates
He`s buried in Milltown where his tombstone it stands
god bless him forever young Bobby Sands.

All the long hungry days and the dark weary nights
he spent in a blanket for human rights.
Politicians and leaders of other great Lands,
would`nt lift a bloody finger for to help Bobby Sands.

Oh but now it is over and Ireland awaits ,
as they carried his coffin through the maze gates
He died for a cause no one else understands`
he died for freedom young Bobby Sands

All the long hungry days and the dark weary nights,
he spent in a blanket for human rights.
Politicians and leaders of other great lands,
would`nt lift a bloody finger for to help Bobby Sands.

God bless him forever young Bobby Sands
