Reflection

Little Arab girl is a song that Mai Khalil a Syrian born, London living singer wrote about the troubles of displaced refugees and the suffering that is being caused all over the world by war and other issues outside of their control. We can all relate and empathise with the troubles of others if we just take the time to consider "what if that was us" "what if the war was here happening to us?"

We hope that this song and video helps to bring us all closer to each other in understanding the harsh reality of other people's lives....
She cries, she cries every night
She lives through a thousand lies
She feels they needed to be strong
And she will gladly take this on
Without a fight, without a fight

She sees hope in her little sister's eyes
She bears the hardship cause she feels it's right
She feels they needed to be strong
And she will gladly takes this on
Without a fight, without a fight

'Cause her brother died
Her father died
Her mother still living but she's holding her brother
And she's looking after
Her siblings and her
Mama's eyes awake
But nobody is around

Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night,
Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night...

When I, when I feel all alone
Yeah-he, I'm writing a song
Yeah-he, and it breaks me heart to think
What escape has she?

From a life, and that she did not choose
Would you walk a mile in her shoes
Without warning a change of circumstance?

Cause her brother died
Her father died
Her mother still living but she's holding her brother
And she's looking after
Her siblings and her
Mama's eyes awake
But nobody is around

Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night,
Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night...

"I wanna visit every prison all the refugees, all because I want to show everyone that-ehm, after the pain and after the storm come my calm days.
I want everyone not to give up on their dreams, or-uh, I want everyone to do what they feel in their heart, even if it's impossible."

'Cause her brother died
Her father died
Her mother still living but she's holding her brother
And she's looking after
Her siblings and her
Mama's eyes awake
But nobody is around

Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night,
Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night...

Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night,
Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night...

Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night,
Little Arab girl don't you cry
They ain't worth your tears at night...

Yeah-eh, (hmm, oh, oh, oh,)
They ain't worth your tears at night...
(hmm, oh, oh, oh, hmm...oh, oh, oh
