One day in spring, it was gym class
That was the only class Shane passed
He was scaling the rope
Some cool kid cracked a joke
Oh man, he was mad, it was like his ears smoked
And I saw Shane, and everyone was pushing him
And you could really feel his pain
And then before you knew it
All of a sudden there were these flames
A fire started in the school
That took a hundred lives away
Life is real tough when your parents
Don't want you
Life can be tough when your girlfriend
Don't want you
Daisy was his last hope
But she thought Shane a big joke
"Well we'll see who's the big joke when
That school goes up in smoke!"
And I saw Shane, and everyone was pushing him
And you could really feel his pain
And it was right then
You started to see these, like, flames
A fire started in the school
That took a hundred lives away
And oh whoa when he struck the match
To make the big payback he said
"Shananananananana"
He thought, "We're all so wrong"
And he cried alone and he went
"Shananananananana"
And the girl and the kids
And all that his parents did, he said
"Shananananananana"
Ooh he thought, "We're all so wrong"
And with this he'd finally have won and baby now
"Shananananananana" Oh no no
But it increased the pain, poor poor Shane
"Shananananananana"
Poor poor Shane, poor poor Shane
"Shananananananana"
But it increased the pain, poor poor Shane
"Shananananananana"
And he ran and he and he ran
And he ran and he ran
And he ran
He increased their pain
"Shananananananana"
And the kids and all that his family did
Just to increase the pain
And then he ran away
Life can be tough when you're
Life, life is so tough when no one wants you
Life is real tough when just about no one at all wants you
That was the only class Shane passed
He was scaling the rope
Some cool kid cracked a joke
Oh man, he was mad, it was like his ears smoked
And I saw Shane, and everyone was pushing him
And you could really feel his pain

Scritta dai fratelli Michael e Brian D'Addario, The Lemon Twigs
Dal sorprendente e misconosciuto concept album "Go To School. A Musical by The Lemon Twigs", bellissimo e barocco...
Testo trovato e riscontrato su Genius
