Musica di Karl Jenkins (1944-), compositore gallese
Nella sua “The Armed Man.

The Armed Man. A Mass for Peace

Lancelot - Better is peace than always war
Guinevere - And better is peace than evermore war
(Sir Thomas Malory)

The Armed Man must be feared
Everywhere it has been decreed
That everyman should arm himself
With an Iron coat of mail

Ring out the thousand wars of old
Ring in the thousand years of peace
Ring out the old, ring in the new
Ring happy bells across the snow
The year is going, let him go
Ring out the false, ring in the true
Ring out old shapes of foul disease
Ring out the narrowing lust of gold
Ring out the thousand wars of old
Ring in the thousand years of peace
Ring in the valiant man and free
The larger heart, the kindlier hand
Ring out the darkness of the land
Ring in the Christ that is to be
(Alfred Tennyson)

God shall wipe away all tears
And there shall be no more death,
Neither sorrow nor crying,
Neither shall there be anymore pain.
(Revelations 21:4)

Praise the Lord.
