Il ritornello è ripreso da For What It's Worth dei Buffalo Springfield, 1967.

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There’s a man with tear gas over there
Spraying kids in Taksim square
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what's going down.

Gas mask tears in streets
Everybody comin’ in Taksim to save the trees
You can stop the metro, stop the buses
But you can’t stop us
‘cause we risin’ up this arab spring, turkish summer
People in the streets sayin’ “Fuck Big Brother”
Media black out, power not out
You can burn the tents
But you can’t burn the light out
Stop the Facebook, Twitter account
50,000 strong still grow in now no doubt
Stormtroopers at the base of the statue
Blood on the streets who we who’s that dude.
We alive, bring the future
Fight for Ataturk, for evolution

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There’s a man with tear gas over there
spraying kids in Taksim square
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what’s that sound
everybody look what's going down.

Malls and fascists, gas more gases
While the people organize and we move more fastest
Occupy Gezi, people so free
For not anti shine so brightly
Cover you face from the tear gas
cover your ass cause the past bout to come back
Bus drivers block in the streets to block the police
you can stop the 3G but can’t stop the beats
you can’t stop the free, let the camera roll.

War in the palace peace in the streets
chemical spray pepper in the in the sneeze
Veil or no veil it’s gas in the eyes
People our people on the streets some die
Blood on the face like the mask of the spider
Rubber bullet to the head it fires no lighter
Cameras and martyrs whose the freedom fighter?
Taxis swallowed by the crowd in the fire
Signs in the spray paint, lines of the cops
breathe in the gas with the mask but gasp don’t stop…

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There’s a man with tear gas over there
spraying kids in Taksim square
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what’s that sound
everybody look what's going down.

What a field day for the heat
50,000 people in the street
singing songs and carrying signs
mostly saying hurray for our side
stop, hey, what’s that sound
everybody look what’s going down
stop, hey, whats that sound
everybody look Istanbul now.

REVOLUTION SONG

İstanbul'a herkes bir baksın
