chants des prisonniers siberiens d'aujourd'hui

Traduzione francese di Dina Vierny
TRAIN, ARRÊTE-TOI

Train, arrête-toi.
Les roues, ne frappez plus.
Conducteur, appuie sur les freins.
A ma chère mère, malade et affamé,
Je me hâte de me montrer.

Ma mère chérie, me caresser, me consoler.

Train, arrête-toi.
Je voudrais me présenter.

STOP TRAIN

Stop train. Wheels stop turning.
Driver, hit the brakes.
Though i'm sick and hungry,
I'm in a hurry to see my dear mother,

Don't expecting, mom,
Don't expect to find the nice boy that i used to be
You'll get a crook and a thief
The prison mire swallowed me whole
And my life is an eternal gaol

And if they bang me up
I'll file down the bars of that cell
And the moon can shine its treacherous light,
But still, i'll run away

And if i'm laid out on the infirmary bed,
In prison, suffering and dying
You won't even come to see me,
My dear mother, to cuddle and console me.

Stop train. Wheels stop turning.
Driver, hit the brakes.
For the last time,
I want my dear mother to see me,

Thank you for this interesting info about this polish actor and singer ( Lech Dyblik).
There is also a very interesting Russian singer who also sings about prison life:,
he’s name is : Gennadi Molchanov

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=...

He is a very non-trivial and talented person: a recidivist who once served many years in the prisons and lagers of the USSR for common crimes! (and now he performs in them giving concerts for inmates...)
