NOW THAT THE DAY RISES

The night is over and the moon
melts slowly in cloudless sky,
sets into the canals.

It's so lively, september, in this land
of plains, meadows are green
as they are in the southern valley in spring.
I left my comrades,
I've hidden my heart inside old walls,
in order to left alone remembering you.

How are you further than the moon,
now that the day rises
and over the stones tap the horses foot!
