Una canzone che parla di alcune schifezze occorse all’America durante l’era Reagan (e la prima parte di quella Bush senior), dal faraonico e fallimentare progetto “Star Wars” allo scandalo Iran-Contra e la guerra “segreta” contro il Nicaragua sandinista finanziata con traffici di armi e di droga, dai test nucleari sulla superficie e nel sottosuolo del Nevada, proseguiti fini al 1992, dalla questione della “deregulation” dei media, trasformatasi in breve in una “concentration” nelle mani di pochi, con quel che ne consegue in termini di libertà ad informare e ad essere informati, fino al lungo periodo di crisi e recessione del mercato finanziario ed immobiliare che si registrò negli USA a cavallo degli anni 80 e 90 a causa del mancato controllo federale sui prestiti e sulla miriade di società finanziarie, una bolla che ad un certo punto esplose (nota come “the savings and loan crisis”) producendo un danno di quasi 90 miliardi dollari e travolgendo un sacco di gente…
