"This track is about how I managed to escape the war with my mother and brother. it's only a rough version and will be done in a Studio when I complete it properly.. "
Woke up in a rail way station,
Just got away from the war that we facin',
My fam still duckin' layin' in a basement,
Dead bodies by the shells on the pavement,

Livin' in hell I was only a boy,
I remember every bullet that I had to avoid,
I was up in the woods watchin' army convoys,
Shell after shell and my village got destroyed,

After many months, of being trapped in a genocide,
And fleein' cities that the enemy had occupied,
We had to run had enough of being terrified,
We went ahead while my old man he stayed behind,
"Is he dead ? ", was the thought trapped in my mind,
Roadless travel, freedom we tryin' to find.

When you're trapped in a war it's a gory life,
Unless you lived it you'll never know what it's like,
I was a young kid trapped in a war blight,
Memories when the shell hit, bombsight,
Corn fields, in the woods for a fortnight,
Battle fields in the middle of a gun fight.

We snuck in on the train that we had to board,
No money so a ticket we could not afford,
We did our best to lay-low and not get caught,
What happened next - is why I say "Praise the Lord"
All three of us got into a cubicle,
There was a man knocked out sleepin' verticle,
He woke up, said "come in" the pinnacle,
When I think about, gotta say it was a miracle..

We sat down and we had a conversation,
He was Yugoslavian, Serbian nation,
He said he was sorry about the devastation,
My mother then told him about our situation

Right then the conductor walked in,
And I'll always remember what the Serb man did,
"This be my sister, my nephews, her kids,
Here's the paper work and the money for the tickets"
We made it, and a place he located,
Finally we got what we anticipated..

When you're trapped in a war it's a gory life,
Unless you lived it you'll never know what it's like,
I was a young kid trapped in a war blight,
Memories when the shell hit, bombsight,
Corn fields, in the woods for a fortnight,
Battle fields in the middle of a gun fight…
