Album: "Wars Will Cease...When We Refuse To Fight Them"

At an anti-Viet Nam war protest in American, Joan Baez walked between the peaceful student protesters and the aggressive vigilant military who were of the same age, picked up some flowers, and put them in the ends of the guns.

Oh Joan, where are your flowers today?
You picked them from the grass
And gave them away to young boys
I wanna feel the grass between my feet
And sand upon my toes way down on the beach
I can feel the wind blow through my hair
As I'm looking over to you
If peace knows love
Then peace surely loves you..

Joan, where are your flowers today?
You picked them from the grass
And gave them away to young boys
If I was a young boy then I'd want one of your flowers
To show me that I'm just a young boy..

Joan, where are your flowers today?
You picked them from the grass
And gave them away to young boys
Standing there puppets of their masters
Looking at children they once finger painted with

Oh Joan, we need your flowers today
Children are still taking people's lives away..
