Oggi, il governo in carica, impippandosi bellamente del risultato di quel referendum e guardandosi bene anche solo dal riproporlo, ha varato un piano a lungo (lunghissimo) termine per la realizzazione di impianti di produzione di energia nucleare.
Il ministro Claudio Scajola ha detto che le future centrali nucleari produrranno il 30% del totale dell’energia d cui l’Italia ha bisogno… Ma il ministro “atomico” (quello noto anche per disporre personalmente di una tratta aerea Alitalia Roma-Albenga – il suo collegio elettorale - pagata dai cittadini) non ha risposto alle domande rivoltegli dalla comunità scientifica, dal Nobel Carlo Rubbia in primis…
I costi saranno esorbitanti e verranno tutti accollati a noi contribuenti, perché non c’è un solo imprenditore così pazzo da rischiare in proprio in un’operazione del genere…
La prima centrale pare potrà essere operativa non prima del 2018… e nel frattempo? Senza contare che per produrre il 30% dell’energia totale di centrali dovrebbero essercene una ventina…
Il problema dello smaltimento delle scorie viene sistematicamente taciuto perché non ha soluzione, se non quella già ampiamente praticata di affondare navi cariche di scorie al largo delle coste africane…
I costi di gestione degli impianti e del ciclo produttivo saranno altissimi, anche perché il combustibile lo dovremo comprare dalla Francia che si è appena aggiudicata la concessione per lo sfruttamento del mega-giacimento di uranio di Imouraren, nel Niger…
Detto questo – e già basterebbe – la memoria non può non andare a Chernobyl e a Three Mile Island…
