Sarà forse banale, ma nelle possibili vicinanze di un conflitto armato, quale quello attuale tra Russia e Ucraina, almeno al sottoscritto viene subito a mente questa canzone -dati anche gli scenari da guerra mondiale che si prospettano, da non prendere sottogamba. Da dire, casomai, che rimango non del tutto d'accordo con la canzone laddove si afferma che i “bravi coglioni” come me, come te, come noi e come voi siano fondamentalmente innocui, e che la cosa non sia grave. E' giustappunto anche grazie ai bravi coglioni come noialtri, pecoroni quant'altri mai e generalmente pendenti dalle labbra dei potenti di turno, che detti capi di stato malati di mente hanno sempre proliferato e prosperato, e continuano a farlo. Con tutte le logiche conseguenze. Detto questo, sto (per ora invano) cercando una traduzione o versione russa di questa canzone; per ora ne ho trovata una inglese, che va a affiancarsi alle altre presenti in questa antica pagina. Lady Day / Songs Of The Sabiá (1970)



In 1969, Frank Sinatra and Jobim recorded "The Song of the Sabiá" for an album entitled Sinatra-Jobim, but at the last minute, Sinatra stopped release of the record. Seven of the ten songs from those sessions were released in 1971 as Side A of Sinatra & Company, but "The Song of the Sabiá" was not used. It appeared as the B-side of Sinatra's single “Lady Day” (Reprise 0970) in December 1970, and was later included on Portrait of Sinatra – Forty Songs from the Life of a Man (1977), Sinatra–Jobim Sessions (1979) and Sinatra/Jobim: The Complete Reprise Recordings (2010).

"The song was recorded in 1981, during the dark years of the communist rule, just before the introduction of martial law in Poland on the 13th December 1981 (see more here: Martial law in Poland - Wikipedia). This song was one of the most important protest songs all through the 1980s; it's worth noting that, at concerts, the title phrase "Chcemy być sobą" ("We want to be ourselves") was often changed into "Chcemy bić ZOMO" ("We want to beat up ZOMO" - see here for the explanation on ZOMO)
