Ascoltavo sempre da bambino vecchi 45 giri in vinile, fra cui c' era anche questa canzone, purtroppo non ricordo perfettamente la sequenza sopratuttto del ritornello,sono quasi certo che sia questa.

come dalle raccolte “Bourgeois Blues: Lead Belly Legacy, Vol. 2”, edizione curata dalla Folkways delle registrazioni che Moses Asch fece negli anni 40, e “Leadbelly. The Tradition Masters” del 2002.

Cette « LETTRE DE VOLTERRA » est une vraie lettre d'un interné à l'asile toscan et jamais envoyée, car comme prescrit le règlement, les lettres des fous n'étaient jamais envoyées.

Les lettres des fous de San Girolamo, écrites de 1889 à 1974, ont été retrouvées seulement en 1981 par un groupe de médecins ( Pellicanò, Raimondi, Agrimi, Lusetti e Gallevi) qui travaillait alors dans cette structure. "Peppino and his brother Giovanni spent their childhood on the farm of their uncle, Don Cesare Manzella, who was the head of Cosa Nostra in the 1950s and 60s. They would hide in a cave there and play away from adults’ sight. While they were still too young to take up any definite role, a specific way of life was already in store for them.
