Un corto circuito, inevitabile per chi oltre a essersi occupato per anni della questione curda in generale (e del Rojava in particolare) è anche socio sostenitore della benemerita organizzazione umanitaria.
Questo ho percepito leggendo il rapporto di Amnesty International sulle - per me ancora presunte - violazioni dei diritti umani, compresi omicidi e torture, opera di esponenti delle FDS (le Forze Democratiche Siriane, un’alleanza di curdi, arabi e assiro-siriaci dell’Amministrazione Autonoma della Siria del Nord-Est) nei campi di detenzione di al-Hol e di Roj. Dove sono ancora rinchiusi (controllati, segregati?) migliaia di esponenti di Daesh (qualcuno magari solo presunto). - Per saperne di più e direttamente dalla fonte

I've long thought it was convenient and appropriate that the English word "loot" and the Portuguese word for "struggle" sound very similar. The powers-that-be are looting the people and the planet in so many ways every day of the year, but on rare occasions when some people dare loot back a little, like in Chicago a couple nights ago, it's time to call in the National Guard.

La condanna a 42 di carcere per Selahattin Demirtas suona come una ritorsione del sultano-presidente e un’ingiuria alla dignità umana
Un palese insulto, prima ancora che ai diritti umani, al semplice buonsenso. Questo si può dire della condanna a 42 anni di carcere per il prigioniero politico Selahattin Demirtas (in prigiono dal 2016). Tanto che perfino i media occidentali, in genere piuttosto restii - soprattutto negli ultimi tempi - a criticare Erdogan e il suo governo islamista alleato dell’estrema destra.diAccusato di “attentato all’integrità dello stato”, “incitamento a commettere crimine”, “propaganda terroristica” e varie amenità, in realtà le “colpe” di Demirtas sono ben altre.
Aver sostenuto le proteste di massa del 2014 per l’attacco e assedio di Daesh (supportato da Ankara) alla città siriana di Kobane.
