‎[1941/1944]‎

Traduzione inglese di Gershon Kingsley da ‎‎Voices From The Shadow.‎
I’D LIKE…‎

I’d like to listen again
to the sound of the train that takes me to distant places,‎
the sound of the tracks that sing of places far away,‎
again, someday.‎

I’d like to be a human being again,‎
and to be alone with you just anyplace at all,‎
looking at the sky, the moon, and the stars,‎
watching the stars - not behind these bars.‎
