Zola Budd era una mezzofondista Sudafricana, nota anche perché correva a piedi nudi, per partecipare alle olimpiadi di Los Angeles 1984 venne però naturalizzata dal Regno Unito (con la scusa di un nonno inglese) per aggirare l'esclusione del Sud Africa allora isolato per il regime dell'Apartheid.
