Album: Rabies
È il 1989 quando, nell'album "Rabies", gli Skinny Puppy si scagliano contro la vendita di armi chimiche a Saddam Hussein da parte degli USA e di altri paesi occidentali. In effetti, dopo il massacro all'arma chimica nel villaggio curdo di Halabja, avvenuto soltanto l'anno prima (1988), le armi ritrovate erano esclusivamente di fabbricazione occidentale (e in particolare USA). Ecco dov'erano le "armi di distruzione di massa", e soprattutto ecco da chi le aveva acquistate. Ma allora, come è noto, Saddam Hussein era un amico, come testimonia questa famosa foto scattata il 20 dicembre 1983, dove il signore che stringe calorosamente la mano al defunto dittatore irakeno è tale Donald Rumsfeld.
