David Gilmour a luglio farà molti concerti in Italia, a Verona, a Roma e anche all'Anfiteatro Romano di Pompei, a 45 anni dal celeberrimo "Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii".
Biglietti a prezzi "popolari", dai 345 Euro per l'esclusivo scenario pompeiano ai 138/69 delle altre lochescion più sgalfe...

La nuova versione di Roger Waters da The Dark Side Of The Moon Redux (2023)
A cinquant'anni di distanza dalla pubblicazione del capolavoro dei Pink Floyd Roger Waters pubblica una reinterpretazione dell'intero album, a voler rivendicare il suo ruolo fondamentale di scrittura all'interno del gruppo. Un'operazione che non gli ha risparmiato diverse critiche. Chiaramente era difficile confrontarsi con l'originale e rifare le canzoni senza la chitarra e la voce di David Gilmour.
Nella nuova versione una strofa è completamente riscritta e tutto è inframezzato da alcuni pezzi recitati.

Esattamente quarant'anni fa, il 1 marzo 1973, usciva il capolavoro dei Pink Floyd e il lato B dell'LP si apriva con questo pezzo famosissimo, ricordato per una delle più stupefacenti linee di basso di tutti i tempi, in 7/4, e per il bellissimo assolo di sax.
Il testo è un ironico ma spietato attacco all'avarizia, al consumismo e in generale al denaro che, come scriveva un certo San Paolo, è la radice di tutti i mali (ma guai a chiedere un aumento!). Ironicamente è anche la canzone che ha fruttato i maggiori profitti alla band inglese.
Aggiungerei anche che il denaro è la radice di tutte le guerre, oltre ad essere il protagonista assoluto della guerra dei centomila anni. Anche per questo la canzone viene accolta senza riserve nelle CCG.
