Freedoms not about doing what you feel like,
Or what you feels right, people are blinded because power steals sight,
Freedoms not the feeling that power gives in you,
That's just a disease that lives in you, accustomed to rituals,
The misconceptions that man lives free in the West,
care free chasing money and the reality is swept,
hidden from prying eyes to see, stealing your identity,
Under the belief that we live free,
Hearts like this will always have a hole in it,
Empty goals in it, but true freedom has no gimmicks,
I have yet to experience it, I'm a slave to the system,
People listen with their ears, but I want their hearts to capture a vision,
None of us will ever know freedom until were set free,
Modern day slavery, suckers to what society claims us to be...
A slave is a true freeman when he knows his purpose,
And the freeman only appears to be free on his surface,
What's freedom? Freedom is the slaves,
People cuffed in chains, blindfolded in the rain,
That's freedom! Its stones against tanks in the West Bank so when they seize them,
Their souls become free in the garden of Eden,
What's freedom? Freedom is the innocent found guilty,
living a lifetime of conditions so filthy,
That's freedom! The fact is we're all in its pursuit,
But you'll only know it when its been taken away and given back to you..
Baghdad, since the last time I saw you how you've changed,
The people that once loved each other are now cursing your name,
Beautiful monuments, landmarks, civilisation at its core,
Now spells war, so different to how you were before,
All sects all religions never engaged in division,
But now it causes death and in prison, how are people living?
Beasts emerged on the streets, ask a civilian,
How life was before and how it is now, hear the opinion,
From one era of tyranny to another, one stole his mother
The other his brother, and by speaking out he's blowing his cover,
Ask a person from Iraq their definition of a free man,
Then ask the same to a Palestinian driven out of his land,
The men that think their free, are slaves to their desires,
But when they're broke and lost hope, they see its backfired,
Quite often words four letters are a struggle to explain,
Like love, until people have lost it they'll only know it by name
What's freedom? Freedom is the slaves,
People cuffed in chains, blindfolded in the rain,
That's freedom! Its stones against tanks in the West Bank so when they seize them,
Their souls become free in the garden of Eden,
What's freedom? Freedom is the innocent found guilty,
Living a lifetime of conditions so filthy,
That's freedom! The fact is we're all in its pursuit,
But you'll only know it when its been taken away and given back to you..
It's been said that any existence deprived of freedom is a kind of death,
By chasing temporary freedom in itself is a waste of breath,
The people who I address, is all those living in war zones,
Kicked out of poor homes, facing tanks with raw stones,
In a life of injustice, freedom's lost its appeal,
For every man that screams freedom ten more die in the fields,
This life is a cheap price for an eternity in liberation,
Its never too late for people of faith, acting in patience..
A man who lives struggling knows theirs no hope for his generation,
But can smile for all the martyrs because he knows what they're facing,
If you claim to be a free person, free soul with mind independent,
Just look at the descendents, your very claims offend them,
Pharaoh thought he was free, claimed Divinity, but he was shamed,
His name is an example as museums kept his remains,
In any society, the rich make millions off the common people,
The only way of freedom is by uniting with each other as equals...
What's freedom? Freedom is the slaves,
People cuffed in chains, blindfolded in the rain,
That's freedom! Its stones against tanks in the West Bank so when they seize them,
Their souls become free in the garden of Eden,
What's freedom? Freedom is the innocent found guilty,

Lyrics & Music by Mustafa SMC
Posing a different stance to the philosophy of freedom, are we really free?
A song about the world we live in and its injustices in countries such as Iraq, Palestine and even throughout the Western World where people think they are free..
