EPPURE SOFFIA	YET IT BLOWS
E l'acqua si riempie di schiuma il cielo di fumi	The water gets filled with foam, the sky with smoke,
la chimica lebbra distrugge la vita nei fiumi	the chemical leprosy destroys any life in the rivers,
uccelli che volano a stento malati di morte	birds can hardly fly, sick with death,
il freddo interesse alla vita ha sbarrato le porte	the cold profit barred the doors to life.
un'isola intera ha trovato nel mare una tomba	A whole island has found its grave in the sea,
il falso progresso ha voluto provare una bomba	the false progress wanted to test a bomb,
poi pioggia che toglie la sete alla terra che è viva	and the rain, which quenches the earth's thirst, which is life,
invece le porta la morte perché è radioattiva	instead, it brings death to it because it is radioactive.

ha ucciso, bruciato, distrutto in un triste rosario	it killed, burned, destroyed in a sad rosary

eppure sfiora le campagne	And yet it strokes the countryside,
accarezza sui fianchi le montagne	it caresses the mountains on their sides
e scompiglia le donne fra i capelli	and ruffles the women’s hair,
corre a gara in volo con gli uccelli	it runs in flight competing with birds.
Eppure il vento soffia ancora!!!	Yet the wind still blows!!!
