Tenendo presente che un testo scritto per Orietta Berti e per Sanremo nel 1986 non poteva che essere pieno di luoghi comuni e buoni sentimenti (ma non molto diverso da Sting nella sue celebre canzone), vi inviterei a rivederla oggi, nel 2022, alla luce di quello che sta succedendo ora.

Furono censite alla fine del XIX secolo. Una raccolta più sistematica fu fatta negli anni ’50 del secolo scorso; conta 400 Villotte. I temi sono i più disparati: dall’amore all’emigrazione alla guerra, ma anche l’amore, la protesta, la satira.
La melodia proposta tocca il tema dell’emigrazione. Il dolore della coppia nell’addio sembra dissolversi nel canto sommesso e profondo come un universo pittorico nell’eternità di un momento.

Das Lied handelt vom Kampf der Roten Armee gegen die Provisorische Amur-Regierung unter der Führung des zaristischen Generals Wiktor Moltschanow am Ende des Russischen Bürgerkriegs in den Gebieten um Spassk-Dalni, Wolotschajewka Perwaja und Wladiwostok. Hierbei wird insbesondere der Sturm auf Wolotschajewka (in deutschen Versionen teils falsch als Wolotschajewska) vom 12. Februar 1922 unter Beteiligung der Partisanen besungen (volksliederarchiv.de).

Po šumama i gorama, cui finora era dedicata una (peraltro trascurata) pagina del sito che è stata qui integrata e eliminata, è la versione jugoslava partigiana di По долинам и по взгорьям e, al tempo stesso, forse la più celebre versione del canto russo in assoluto. Questo perché è senz'altro il principale canto partigiano titoista jugoslavo dell'epoca della II guerra mondiale. Lo indico come “jugoslavo” perché le sue versioni riflettono le lievi varianti linguistiche (serbe, croate...) di quel sistema linguistico comune che, fino a trent'anni fa, veniva chiamata “serbocroato”. Sempre per ricordare Vangelis Papathanassiou (e anche Demis Roussos, che è morto il 25 gennaio 2015 a Atene, e che si chiamava in realtà Artemios Ventouris – chissà che non appartenesse al ramo ellenico della casata), e poiché vorrei tornare ancora una volta a quella famosa estate del 1973, ecco gli Aphrodite's Child con una certa loro canzone che, ne sono certo, farà abbastanza sobbalzare tutti noialtri diversamente ragazzi e ragazze in attesa di passare dai pannolini ai pannoloni. La canzone è del 1968.

Info about Yakut: Yakut language, also known as Yakutian, Sakha, Saqa or Saxa (Yakut: саха тыла), is a Turkic language with around 450,000 native speakers spoken in Sakha (Yakutia), a federal republic in the Russian Federation, by the Yakuts. The Yakut language differs from all other Turkic languages in the presence of a layer of vocabulary of unclear origin (possibly Paleo-Siberian). Info about Yakut: Yakut language, also known as Yakutian, Sakha, Saqa or Saxa (Yakut: саха тыла), is a Turkic language with around 450,000 native speakers spoken in Sakha (Yakutia), a federal republic in the Russian Federation, by the Yakuts. The Yakut language differs from all other Turkic languages in the presence of a layer of vocabulary of unclear origin (possibly Paleo-Siberian). There are also a large number of words of Mongolian origin related to ancient borrowings, as well as numerous recent borrowings from Russian. Like other Turkic languages and their ancestor Proto-Turkic, Yakut is an agglutinative language and employs vowel harmony.

The New Yorker uses Japan's highest and most symbolic mountain to help convey her feelings about the tragedy.

I imagined the people having to deal with this new situation with the threat of a nuclear disaster.
