Trazzere
In Sicilia le trazzere erano tutte le antiche vie extraurbane, adibite non soltanto alla transumanza, a differenza dai tratturi abruzzesi. Il termine trazzera deriverebbe dal verbo francese antico drecier/ dirigersi verso [F. Godefroy Dictionnaire de l’ancienne langue française , Paris 1881 ]
Le “Regie trazzere” erano le vie di comunicazione per un totale ragguardevole di 14mila km.
