THE SEA

I love the sea when it rages and adore it shouting into the wind
I feel its waves like silent yearning for a people free and life really lived
And I love it in it's stillness and melt when it whispers to me
And spreads its waves like a carpet under my dreams, giving life to me
It has no beginning and no end its secrets in its depths are folded
Always in love it's traveling in constant journey, unending.

I love the sea love the sea and adore its laughter and weeping
And I love people love the people there's something of the sea in them
And I love you for love of you my dreams are cheering and singing
My homeland, even within you my eyes to you are longing.

I love the roses over the fence and adore their laughter passing
I feel their aroma like magic longing for a people free and a better living
And I love them in the hands of lovers like messages gilded with yearning
And even between the pages of a book of love, a memory of parting
Their lives are only two nights long and never in their lives are selfish
Sprinkling their scent on those passing by and sharing it with others arriving.

I love the roses love the roses adore their laughter and moaning
And I love people love the people there's something of the roses in them
And I love you for love of you my dreams are cheering and singing
My homeland, though I'm within you, my eyes to you are longing.

I love the sea I love the roses the people I love to live free our heads raised high
Not torn apart by colors, nor by races, and adore the muezzin's voice, fluttering
In church-bells' embraces
Come people, let's hold high mass for the coming tomorrow.
