Αυτοί που θά 'ρθουν μια βραδιά θα βρουν τα δάκρυά μας πληγές θα βρούνε και καπνό και στάχτη τη χαρά μας.	Those who will arrive one night will find my tears wounds they will find and smoke and ashes my joy
Κι αν θα μου πάρουν τη φωνή θ' αφήσω τον καημό μου κι αν γίνει ξένος ο καημός θ' αφήσω τ' όνειρό μου.	And even if they rob me of my voice, my grief I will leave behind And if estranged my grief becomes, my dream I will leave behind
Κι αν πάρουν και τα χρόνια μου στο αίμα μου θα μείνουν κι αν γίνει το αίμα μου νερό πουλάκια θα το πίνουν.	And if they take my years they will remain in my blood; and if my blood turns to water the birds will drink it.
