LAST NIGHT I HAD THE STRANGEST DREAM

Last night I had the strangest dream,
I ever had before,
I dreamed the world had all agreed,
To put an end to war.

I dreamed there was a mighty room,
And the room was filled with meeting,
And the paper they were signing
Said they'd never fight again.

And when the paper was all signed,
And a million copies made,
They all joined hands and circled 'round,.
And grateful prayers were made.

And the people on the streets below
Were dancing 'round and 'round,
With swords and guns and uniforms
All scattered on the ground.
LA NUÈCH PASSADA AI PANTAIAT.

La nuèch passada ai pantaiat
D’un monde plen d’amor
D’acòrdi toi per acabar
La guèrra per totjorn.

Lu generals e lu tirans,
Lu rèis, lu presidents,
Per metre fin ai vièlhs malans
Firmàvon toi ensèms.

Un còup firmats toi lu papiers
D’aquela granda patz,
Cadun jonhent li mans parier,
Vorguèron toi pregar.

Per li carrieras au grand soleu
Li gents balàvon mai
E lu fusius e lu drapeus
Cremàvon dins lu camps.

La nuèch passada ai pantaiat
D’un monde plen d’amor
D’acòrdi toi per acabar
La guèrra per totjorn.
