"If you've never been Homeless you can't imagine how bad it is. It can be a life changing experience. I was homeless for only a few days and then had to stay on a friends couch for awhile....I've never been the same. I NEVER feel safe. This song is about ONE man's Journey from Normal to living in the park under a bridge. I got very depressed watching Pictures from Sandy....It doesn't matter how you become homeless, just that you ARE. There are Thousands of people in New York and New Jersey....Kids, Old people and families that have no home and no life. A lot of these people will wind up living under a bridge... PLEASE.... if this song Affects you the way I think it will....Donate to the Red Cross. NOBODY SHOULD EVER BE HOMELESS. Everybody needs a place to lay their heads down at night and to feel Safe!...

Homelessness in America is a Terrible Tragedy. It can happen to anybody and did to the guy in my song called "Homelessness...Livin' Under A Bridge". Check out my song about Homeless Vets called "Just Another Hero Living on the Streets".. We Can Do Better! I was homeless for just a few days year ago and it was a Life Shattering experience that I stays with me even today.... It has shaped me as a songwriter. I try and tell the stories of Life in America .."
It all started about two years ago
He had a wife and a normal life
getting ready to start a family
Not a lot of strife ..

Had a good job in the city
and was finishing up school at night
Mom always wanted him to graduate
She'd say “Son do it right”.

He and kitty went out to dinner
one cold friday night last year
and on his way home that fateful night
his car wouldn't steer

He tried to turn the wheel
but it wouldn't budge at all
as the car rolled down the embankment
it was an endless, surreal fall ..

Now he's living under a bridge
can't seem to find his way
Never thought he'd wind up homeless
but he's there today.

Living under a bridge
Where did it all go wrong
wish he had it all back again
got to stay strong.

His lovely kitty - She died at the scene
and he went to intensive care
He just doesn't remember any of it
just doesn't seem very fair

His life went spiraling out of control
lost his job and all self respect
They came for his house without mercy
What else could he expect?

Now he's living under a bridge
can't seem to find his way
Never thought he'd wind up homeless
but he's there today.

Living under a bridge
where did it all go wrong
wish he had it all back again
got to stay strong.

They put all his belongings out on the lawn
and boarded up his home
He just stood there tears streaming down
He was all alone

So he took what he could carry
and headed to the park
and huddled down under the bridge
it was cold, he was scared and it was dark

Now he's living under a bridge
can't seem to find his way
Never thought he'd wind up homeless
but he's there today.

Living under a bridge
where did it all go wrong
Wish he had it all back again
got to stay strong

Now he's living under a bridge
can't seem to find his way
Never thought he'd wind up ..
