L’acronimo R.F.C. sta per “Reconstruction Finance Corporation”, il nome di un’agenzia federale americana che contribuì al progressivo risanamento delle banche statali nella fase di risposta alla grande crisi del 1929. Istituita da Hoover nel 1932, con Roosevelt la RFC attuò grandi programmi di investimento e di occupazione. Moltissimi sottoproletari americani, bianchi e neri, per anni non ebbero altre occupazioni se non quelle offerte dai programmi federali come il RFC.



Le “jug band” erano blues band di strada che usavano spesso strumenti improvvisati, a percussione come a corda.
