1) Prima della Rivoluzione castrista Cuba era in mano alla multinazionale statunitense United Fruit i cui interessi erano “curati” nell’isola dal dittatore Fulgencio Batista.
2) Non capisco il nome (di tre sole lettere, ma non è Ike, per Dwight D. Eisenhower) del primo interlocutore. Il secondo è invece Adlai Stevenson II (1900-1965), politico e diplomatico, che nel 1961 era ambasciatore alla Nazioni Unite e che non venne informato da Kennedy dell’operazione contro Cuba, visto che Stevenson era stato sempre critico al proposito. Anzi, il presidente gli disse che il governo americano non era per nulla coinvolto nella cosa e lui lo riferì convinto all’Assemblea ONU, facendo una gran figura di merda quando tutto andò in vacca.
3) Allen Dulles (1893-1969), diplomatico ed avvocato statunitense, allora a capo della CIA. Famoso soprattutto per aver organizzato i golpe in Iran e Guatemala e per la feroce campagna di attentati terroristici sul suolo cubano che precedette l’invasione della Bahía de Cochinos
4) Jack era uno dei modi confidenziali con cui gli americani (non solo gli intimi) chiamavano il presidente John F. Kennedy.
5) Quatro Bocas: ignoro a cosa si riferisca, forse il nome di qualche unità delle Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias di Cuba
