Parole e musica di Desmond Dekker
Singolo di Desmond Dekker and the Aces che dà il titolo al successivo LP
Inclusa nella colonna sonora del film musicale The Harder They Come

(fonte: Genius)

I versi “Rudeboys cannot fail / Cause them must get bail” (il cui significato è che il rudeboy deve cercare di non finire in galera perché non ha i soldi per ottenere la libertà su cauzione) hanno sicuramente ispirato i Clash per la loro “Rudie Can't Fail” (da London Calling, 1979)

At Ocean Eleven
And now rudeboys have a go wail
Cause them out of jail
Rudeboys cannot fail
Cause them must get bail

Dem a loot, dem a shoot, dem a wail
A Shanty Town
Dem a loot, dem a shoot, dem a wail
A Shanty Town
Dem rude boys out on probation
A Shanty Town
Them a rude when them come up to town
A Shanty Town
