Nothing really effects him
In any kind of way…
Guess that's why there's always really nothin'
Really nothin' much to say..
'Cause things ain't always
What they seem
An idea to which he
Once agreed
And he thinks about it now and he finds it
So obscene..
Manhattan was born a long time ago, in 1941
Changed the world forever everyone lost
And nobody won..
Stares him down,
Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
I got blood on my hands – he said
And we've created a weapon of genocide..
He was an advocate for the total renunciation of its creation
Hundreds and thousands would die in the face of devastation
Mankind becomes ugly in the face of domination
And if there's anything we must do its educate the population..
'Cause things ain't always
What they seem
An idea to which
He once agreed
And he thinks about it now and he finds it
So obscene..
And into the sunset he rode up that hill
Things weren't quite right he was feeling kind of ill
and he's thinkin' to himself well whatever happens now it'll be God's will…
In any kind of way…
Guess that's why there's always really nothin'
Really nothin' much to say..
'Cause things ain't always
What they seem
An idea to which he
Once agreed
And he thinks about it now and he finds it
So obscene..

Lyrics & Music by Rick Zizzamia
This song has to do with the discovery of the Nuclear age.
Certainly the discovery of nuclear fission brought a new world.... a new era. A dangerous place for everyone.
I think that must have been a terrible burden for some… and not others.
