Kamikazi64's music is best described as middleclass topical comedy rap. Rap with something to say, the way rap was first intended, without all the bling and "Yeah blud" that rap is associated with today. Kamikazi64 is not ashamed of his Brutishness and he revels in it. His lyrics are clever, the songs are catchy and the beats are fresh. Kamikazi64's style is unique and the concept's for his songs are original, topical and are easy to relate to, for anyone living in British suburbia.
Transcript from an Interview with Radley Mason
Kamikazi64 is a rapper based in Eastbourne (UK)
Yeah, I am a political rapper.
I am trying to raise questions amongst the silent people who believe what the evening standard tell them.
Why this name?
I am a terrorist against the government.
Do you play live?
I have played live. Not for a while. I want to get back out there.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It ruins it. People are just downloading anything and everything. There is no such thing as archive anymore. It has been spread across the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course i would. But only for exposure. I know that the record industry is full of people waiting to fuck you over and keep royalties to your songs. So i would be careful what kind of contract I was signing. .
Your influences?
The Manic street Preachers, Eminem, Michael Moore and Dylan Avery. I admire Michael and Dylan's efforts to open the consumed majority.
Favorite spot?
Eastbourne. It's where i was born and i'm proud of it. I know it better than anyone.
Equipment used:
Lot's of shit. Too boring to comment.
Anything else...?
I place a jihad on George Walker Bush.
You cannot silence anarchists.
We know your scheme.
We are fighting the Bush Administration regime.
Larry Silverstein, I hope your enjoying the 7 billion insurance money you got from the collapse of the 7 world trade building's. You cunt.
